1984 GMC Caballero Amarillo

GMC produced these Caballero coupe utility vehicles from 1978 through 1987. They are rear wheel drive car based pickups and are GMC’s version of the Chevrolet El Camino. Although similar to the El Camino (many never even knew a GMC version existed) the rarity of the Caballero has resulted in a group of collectors and fans who have emerged that focus on the Caballero. The Amarillo package is equivalent to the El Caminos Conquista package.

This 1984 GMC Caballero Amarillo has been owned by a father and son for the past 20 years. The seller says he believes that the vehicle was repainted prior to the 20 years he and his father have owned the car. He also tells us that while the general appearance is great the paint could use a good buffing as it has not been done in the last ten years. He also stated that the car appears to be rust free (see photos of underside supplied) and it has been stored inside for the last twenty years.

The seller believes the miles of 59637 to be original. At 6’5” the seller does not find the vehicle a comfortable fit for himself.

The interior appears to be original and in good condition for the age of the vehicle. The 305 V8 4 barrel engine starts and runs good. It has an automatic transmission. It does not have a catalytic converter.

The seller is not representing the car as a 100 point show car but as a very nice driver and has set his reserve accordingly. If you are a fan of the Caballero this is a very nice pickup and you should bid to win.
