Ford Mustang 1966 Description
It's time to sell our 1966 Mustang GT350 Fastback Resto-Mod Tribute. It is Shelby Blue with white racing stripes. A buddy and I bought it in 1999 from a local classic Mustang shop here on Long Island. We've been working on it and enjoying it ever since. It's been on the road since the majority of the work was completed 2002 and are ready to move on to other projects. The car looks great but is NOT a trailer queen. It has always been garaged and stored properly.
It has:
- new sheet metal
- new interior
- rebuilt 302 with mild street cam
- power steering
- power disc brakes all around
- T5 transmission with Hurst shifter
- Sure Fit Vintage A/C
- Rod and Custom rack and pinion front end kit
- 9-inch Ford rear with 3.55 gears
- classic American Racing wheels on brand new rubber and vintage air.
The majority of the parts were from:
- Rod and Custom out of South Carolina - complete conversion to rack and pinion, front and rear suspension upgrades and disc brakes all around
- Mustangs Unlimited out of Connecticut - quarter window kit, housing, tach and bracket
- CJ Pony Parts out of PA - complete new interior, including seats, headliner, carpet and door panels
- Hot Rod Air out of Texas - custom radiator (still in box)
- Mustang Magic from Long Island, NY - rolling chassis, new sheet metal, new T5 Manual Transmission, headers, custom exhaust, MSD ignition and distributor and coil
- T. O'Rourke - bead blasting entire car before new paint and trim
- Russ' Auto from Long Island, NY - assembly of all the new parts and made her glow
Like I said, it is NOT a trailer queen. As with most classic cars, there is always something either to do or that is not perfect. Brakes need adjusting. There is a slight tear in the leather drivers seat and some seams that needs to be stitched in the back; the paint and stripes are not perfect and need touching up. The molding and rubber trim needs to be put around the front and rear windshields. The paint has a few imperfections. Overall, I would rate the condition a B.
We have plenty of extra parts, including trim and molding as well as extra radiator and even a rear fastback windshield all of which are included.
