For sale, is a 1967 Ford Fairlane Ranchero. If you are looking for a factory built big block car, keep looking...This car was born a small block 289, C-4 Automatic. However if you are looking for a single year body style, 5-spd, Big Block 60's muscle car that you can build to your style without worrying about matching numbers and keeping it all original, then this might be the car for you. I have a 67 Ford Fairlane Ranchero that I bought about 6 years ago, tore it down to rebuild, but as I discovered in my retirement that I just have too many projects going on and not enough time to complete them all. So I am hoping that someone can and will finish what I imagined when I bought it.

A little history on the car... According to the Marti Report (which is in included) the car was built March 7th, 1967 in Kansas City. Was sold to a Ford Dealer in Washington state where it didn't spend too many years before spending a good chunk of its life in Arizona state which helped preserve the body in a really good shape. Before finally ending up in New York state from where I purchased it from. It was during this time that someone had converted it to era bucket seats, put the big block(casting number C4AE) 390 FE, 427 crank and rods(C4AEB/C3AEC), and 428 heads(C8AEH). A '67 390 hood, and era correct center console and bucket seats(unsure correct year-of era) were also added. The engine will have to be completely overhauled, its standard bore and crank. I purchased a '89 Mustang Gt T-5 5 speed, that is tore down, ready to be rebuilt. I bought big block bell housing/clutch linkage/390 reconditioned flywheel/ brand new 11" Zoom clutch and pressure plate with throw out bearing/pilot bearing/transmission adapter that makes the 5spd to the 4spd bell housing(see pictures). Bought era style 4spd shifter that bolts to T-5 trans.

The body for the age, as a very easy to rebuild body. The left front fender has been replaced. The floor boards on the passenger side has been repaired, probably due to leaking heater core. In the very back of the storage compartment under the bed, behind the seats does has some rot that needs to be repaired. All the tinted glass is good, all stainless is good, the tailgate opens and closes great. No rust in the tailgate and no rust in the bottom of the doors. There is some rust and dents in the bed, but nothing serious. The fuel tank will need to be removed and cleaned. Both bumpers are original in appearance, the rear bumper has a hickey in it. Both would be best to be re-chromed.

The original parts that I have sold are as follows: The steering wheel, the AM radio, the grille, the automatic floorboard shifter, body side molding.

This is the list of new parts that I have purchased: The 68 1/2 GT Mustang wheels, with new center caps and good beauty rings. 2- 1" wheel spacers. Firestone 500 tires. Front gas shocks, rear air shocks. Everything to build the front end, new lower A frames w/ball joints, upper ball joints, tie rod ends upper/lower a frame bushings, sway bar bushings and linkage. Front inner/outer wheel bearings, seals, brake shoes, wheel cylinders(for 390), drums. New motor mounts, firewall seals and boots. Heater motor/heater core, and wiper motor. New aluminum radiator, aluminum engine dress pulleys. Thermostat and housing, brass freeze plugs. a '63 original 427 2x4 intake(C3AE-9425-J). 2 390 CFM Holley Carbs, 1 professionally rebuilt, the other needs to be rebuilt. 2 complete carb rebuild kits for both carbs. 2- 1" spacers for the carbs with bolts. Accelerator linkage, black brushed fin oval air intake cleaner with matching tall valve covers(see pics). Trans parts see above... New headliner, door locks and ignition switch keys. New thick black steering wheel, '60s era Sun Tach, oil/water/volt gauges. All dash gauges are white faced. Dash pad is in reasonably good shape, not cracked or torn. Seats and door panels will need to be refinished or replaced. I also have side exhaust skirt that I was going to fabricate to fit(from a 67-68 mustang). Also a set of stainless steel mufflers.

My dream was to rebuild the truck, bore the motor to 406, thumper comp cams, port and polish the heads, locked diff for the 8 inch rear end with 3:50-3:70 gears. Paint it Hyland Green, black interior with a Eleanor grille, kinda a cross with Bullitt and Eleanor. But that of course will never happen. Maybe if you end up with it, you can put your own spin on it and make it what you imagine. It's a blank canvass.
