IT IS A VERY RARE BEAST TO BE A LONG BED, 4X4, ND A SUPERCAB CONFIGURATION WITH 51,020 MILES AND BEING RAISED IN BAKERSFIELD, ALIFORNIA, OU WILL NOT SEE ANY OF THE USUAL RUSTED OUT AREAS ON THIS ONE. WHILE THE UNDERSIDE HAS NOT BEEN UNDERCOATED( LA SALES DISTRICT) THERE IS NO RUST AND THE UNDERSIDE LOOKS DRY AS A BONE. YOU EAST COAST FOLKS SHOULD BE DROOLING OVER THIS BODY!! WE DID A WALK AROUND YOU TUBE MOVIE ENTITLED" 79 EM2 SUPERCAB DIESEL WALK AROUND" THE TRUCK STARTED LIFE AS AN F-150 LARIAT WITH A 460 AND AUTOMATIC. IT IS NOW AN F-350-250 CHASSIS WITH A 4 SPD MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND TURBO DIESEL, T IS CURRENTLY REGISTERED AS A DIESEL IN CALIFORNIA AND AS THUS EXEMPT FROM DEQ OR EMISSIONS TESTING. IT DOESN'T SMOKE AT ALL WHEN WARM. WE SAY F-350-250 BECAUSE THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL IS A 1 TON FLOATING AXLE WITH 4:11 DETROIT LOCKERS AND THE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL IS AN F-250 DANA 44 WITH 3/4 TON ACCOUTREMENTS. WE INSTALLED 4 BRAND NEW PRO COMP EXTREME DARK TITANIUM WHEELS AND 4 NEW 33X12.50r16 MUD TERRAIN TIRES (LOAD RANGE E). THE FRONT HUBS ARE UPGRADED TO SUPERWINCH HUBS.THE BRAKES ARE EXCELLENT, OTH FUEL TANKS ARE FUNCTIONAL WITH ROUGHLY 38 GALLONS CAPACITY. THE RECEIVER HITCH IS A 10K HITCH WIRED FOR THE FORD 7 PIN CURRENTLY ON ALL NEW FORD TRUCKS. MECHANICALLY THE CRUISE CONTROL FOR THE GAS ENGINE HAS NOT BEEN REHOOKED TO THE DIESEL. IT GETS A LOT BETTER FUEL MILEAGE THAN A 460, ET ME TELL YA!. THE TRUCK HAS A MANUAL 4 SPEED COUPLED TO A MITCHELL BRAND GEAR SPLITTER WITH THE CORRECT LINKAGE MOUNTED IN THE CAB. THIS MITCHELL 2000 WILL TAKE 1700 FT. POUNDS OF TORQUE AND WILL SPLIT ALL 4 GEARS IF YOU WISH. THE MITCHELL WAS COMPLETELY GONE THROUGH IN JULY OF 2015 BY THE EXPERTS AT MARSH TRANSMISSION IN TUALATIN, REGON. IT WORKS VERY WELL AND AS INTENDED. THE TRUCK SEEMS TO HAVE AWESOME TORQUE AND SHOULD BE ABLE TO CARRY MOST ANY THING YOU WISH. IT SHOULD ALSO TOW MOST ANYTHING. THE DRIVESHAFTS ARE NEW WITH THE MITCHELL INSTALL AS WELL. THIS TRUCK SHOULD BE A LOT OF FUN AND A WORK HORSE AS WELL. SINCE THE TRUCK WAS AN AIR-CONDITIONED TRUCK FROM THE FACTORY, HE AIR COND. ITEMS ARE STILL IN THE TRUCK WITH ONE EXCEPTION: THE COMPRESSOR WAS SERPENTINE AND THE DIESEL IS PULLEY. IT WILL NEED A NEW AIR COND. COMPRESSOR MOUNTED TO THE ENGINE BUT THE ACTUAL AC HOSES ARE READY. THE AC DRYER SHOULD BE REPLACED AS WELL BECAUSE THE HOSE CONNECTION WAS LEFT OPEN.THE DASHBOARD HAS THE CORRECT AC SWITCHING,FAN, ND VENTS. THE STEERING COLUMN IS A TILT COLUMN. THE ORIGINAL AUTO SHIFT LEVER HAS BEEN REMOVED AND WE HOPE TO INSTALL A TACHOMETER/HOUR METER IN IT'S PLACE. THE TRUCK HAS HAD A REPAINT TO A NON ORIGINAL COLOR. THE ORIGINAL COLOR WAS "MIDNIGHT BLUE METALLIC" AS SEEN ON THE HOOD BOTTOM. THE BED IS FROM AN EARLIER YEAR F-350(76 WE BELIEVE). THE REPAINT IN WHITE IS A MODERATE PAINT JOB. IT IS SINGLE STAGE BUT SHINES NICELY. WE DO NOT KNOW THE AGE OF THE PAINT. THERE ARE A FEW WHITE TOUCH UP AREAS ON THE MAIN BODY AND SOME ADDITIONALLY ON THE BEDRAIL TOPS. IT'S JUST A GOOD OLE SUPERCAB 4X4 FORDTRUCK! THE TIRES AND WHEELS ARE BRAND NEW BUT THERE IS NO SPARE TIRE CURRENTLY.
