Dodge Coronet 1971 Description
This car is a real crowd pleaser; it gets attention everywhere it goes, rom car shows to the supermarket. You can see by the pictures that I have donked/customized it out for maximum visibility. The wheels are chrome but currently blacked out with plasti-seal. It has 18 inch Michelins with good tread. The 318 runs very strong and has been modified with an electronic ignition module which replaces the points. It has fairly new brakes, nd a rebuilt carb. I drive this car all summer long.I have repaired some surface rust and a couple of small rust holes. I'm not a motorhead so the body work shows that it was not done by a pro. It was impossible to match the faded paint with new paint. But, t is the retro color that people love. This would be a fantastic shop car for pizza or florist delivery, r for any "green" eco-friendly company. The light bar is just a gutter clip and can be removed in seconds. The top fog lights and PA horn are not currently wired; they are just for visual appeal but could easily be finished. All of the decals can be easily removed if desired, ut they get lots of attention. The car would make a great parade piece with the PA horn or even used in the upcoming presidential campaign. Picture it in Vermont, houting out for Bernie Sanders.. Also would look super cool (even groovy) at a Phish concert orGratefulDead tribute. The only permanent changes I made were to black out the grill and valance. There is a little overspray on the left front quarter panel from the valance paint. The right side has some missing trim and one large rust spot on the rear quarter panel. The back seat is pristine, he front bench has cracks/tears but currently has a seat cover. The radio antenna and AM radio are broken. The A/C needs a recharge. For the money, ou won't have more fun in any other car. The car is currently registered and titled in Virginia which is where I lived when I bought it. The car is titled as a 72 but registered as a 71, hich jives with the VIN....don't ask me why. I didn't want to do battle with Virginia DMV. As you know, ost states don't require a title for a car of this age, ut I will transfer the VA title to the new buyer. It does not have an inspection sticker because I don't live in VA anymore. . Please look at the pictures closely and ask questions. There is lots of good cruising weather left. Don't miss out.I have blocked, r attempted to block bidders with zero transactions and any "no pay" transactions. If that does not work and a zero transaction bid turns up I will cancel it immediately. The vehicle is for local pick up only. I have the number of a shipper I have used with great results and will pass it along upon request. A $500.00 deposit is required within 24 hours of auction end. Full payment within 7 days or vehicle pick up, hichever is first. Buyer has 30 days from end of auction to pick up vehicle or storage charges of $10 per day begin.PLEASE ask any question about this car before bidding. I love the car, on't need to sell it and can keep driving it....so I'll be perfectly honest with you. Buy This Car and Have a Blast!Car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction before any bids are made. If a qualifying bid is made, will not end the auction.
