Up for sale we have a 1955 Chevy 2 Door Custom. The ’55 Chevy may be the most loved Chevy of all time. It was the first year for the V8 and was instant hit that has one of the largest followings of any classic. The one we have has had many upgraded with a Chopped Top Custom Paint and yes it has a blower. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior interior and heartbeat of the Chevy but first we would like to tell you a little about us.

Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned operated and own our entire inventory no consignments and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don’t have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So that’s how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information pictures or any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.

We will start off with the exterior of the ’55. When you walk around it you can see all the custom work that has been done. The bumper was molded in along with the shaved door handles and the top was chopped about 2”. You’ll notice the hood is a fiberglass hood with a 2” cowl that was cut tomake it easy to lift off. The sides of this ’55 are straight with good fit of the doors and trunk. Everything is covered in the Two Tone Hugger Orange and Tuxedo Black paint scheme. The side chrome was removed and it was custom painted on lower to work better with the chop top. The bumpers and top chrome is also painted on. The tail lights were also changed to what look like Caddy lights. The final exterior touch is the set of American Racing Wheels that are 18x7 up front and 20x10’s out back.

Next we will take a look at the interior of the Custom Chevy. On the inside it’s all done in classic black to complement the exterior scheme. It has the bench seats that are done in the Black Vinyl with Ostrich inserts. The door panels are also done in the same scheme as the seats. The carpet and Headliner are done in black. When you look at the dash it’s black with a stainless panel and a set of custom gauges. The column is a Chrome Tilt set up with a custom wheel.

Finally we will take a look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. When you look under the hood you will see that it is very nicely detailed. The power comes from a 355 small block that is dressed with plenty of Chrome and Aluminum. It has a Polished Blower with twin Holleys Chrome Valve Covers and Alternator. The pulleys and water pump are polished aluminum. The trans is a 400 Turbo with a Camaro Rear End. The exhaust flows through a set of coated headers with duals Flow Masters. The firewall is painted body color with the inner fenders being done in stainless along with the radiator support. To keep it cool it has an Aluminum Radiator with an Electric fan. The brakes were upgraded to Four Wheel Disc with the Polished Booster and Master. This ’55 also has Power Steering. When you look under it the floors are all done in black with the frame done to match the body color. Out back it has Ladder Bars with Coil Over Shocks. All the brakes lines and fuel lines were replaced as well.
