Most All Of Our Auctions End Early Call Us For A Great Price 865 988 8088Up for sale we have a 1961 Chevy Impala Bubble Top. The ’61 Chevys took on an all new look with the fins being gone. This was the only year for the Bubble Top that has become iconic with the look that is all to itself. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior interior and heartbeat of the Chevy but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned operated and own our entire inventory no consignments and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 50 to 60 cars at all times. We don’t have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So that’s how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information pictures or any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of the Imapala. The body is straight with good fit of all the stainless. All the stainless down the sides is in good shape. Also all the glass is good with good trim. All the weather stripping looks good. The side glass has a light tint which is factory. The body is covered in the same color it came from the factory with Honduras Maroon. The paint is slick with a deep rich shine and is accented by the chrome that looks good. The bumpers appear to have been replaced at some point. The final exterior touch is the set of 18” and 20” Chrome Coys.
Next we will take a look at the interior of the Bubble Top. On the inside it’s done in the factory style gray and white. It has the correct bench seats. The covers are white vinyl with gray cloth inserts. The dash and other trim is also gray. All the stainless looks good and the vintage AC looks nice and well done. It retains the stock radio and seat belts have been added.
Finally we will take a look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the hood it’s powered by a 327 V8 with an Automatic Trans. The engine is dressed with Aluminum Pulley and billet brackets. The alternator and AC compressor are chrome as well as the valve covers and breather. It retains the stock manifolds and has dual exhaust. Also it’s set up with factory Power Steering and Standard Brakes. When you look under this car the floors look good and appear to still have factory under coating which was usual for its day.
