Up for sale we have a 1970 Chevy Chevelle SS Resto Mod. This is easily one of the most desirable muscle cars every built. The one we have for you is a frame off Rotisserie Restoration that has had numerous upgrades. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and heartbeat of the Chevy, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information, pictures, or any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of the Chevelle. From first glance the quality of the restoration is evident. The panel fit is excellent, and it's straight as an arrow down the sides. Everything is covered in the Cranberry Red Base coat clear coat that is accented by the Black SS Stripes that are under the clear. The paint work on this '70 is phenomenal as it looks every bit as good down low as it does on top. A new black vinyl top was installed along with new stainless around it. The rest of the stainless was either replaced or was polished back to a like new condition. This Chevelle sports new bumpers front and rear, and the rest of the chrome and emblems are all like new as well. It doesn't stop there as new glass was also installed along with new seals and weather stripping. To show off those upgraded brakes it's sporting a killer stance and a set of new 18" and 20" Billets with new tires.
Next, we will move to the interior of the '70. When you open the doors, you'll be impressed with how solid the jams and doors are. Take a closer look and you will see everything is in excellent condition, and that the black interior is the perfect complement to the exterior color combo. It's sporting the correct style bucket seats up front and bench seat in the back. There's no console in this '70, but it does have the Hurst Shifter and boot along with the front lap belts. As you set down and wrap your hands around the Custom Grip wheel you'll see the Round SS gauges with the factory tach. The dash pad is new along with the vintage A/C system that has the controls in the factory location. For a classic look, and to keep from cutting the dash, it's got the old-style AM/FM 8 track radio.
Finally, we will get to the heartbeat of this Chevy. As soon as you pop the hood on this Chevelle you're going to be in love. The firewall has been slicked down and its painted gloss black along with the inner fenders. For Power, it's got a pro built 496 Big Block with Aluminum Heads, Aluminum Intake and Holley Carb. It's dressed in the Aluminum Chevy BowTie valve covers and the Custom Breather. This 496 also is set up with the Serpentine single belt system with Polished Alternator and AC Compressor. To keep it cool it has an Aluminum Radiator and Dual fans. For exhaust, you've got coated headers with 3" Pipes and Borla Mufflers. This big block is mated to the Muncie Four Speed Trans and a 12 Bolt Posi Rear End. To go along with the Vintage Air Condition it also has Power Steering and Four Wheel Disc Brakes. If you're not impressed yet, wait until you look under this gorgeous Chevelle. Everything is detailed to the max with painted floors and frame. The front end has all new bushings and ball joints, and it also has the larger sway bar. Out back it has boxed lower arms along with the sway bar and detailed rear end with painted drive shaft. To finish off this '70 it has all new brakes and fuel lines along with a new gas tank.
