Up for sale we have a 1954 Chevy 3100 Rat Rod Pick Up. This pick up has the old look paired with the newer power train. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and heartbeat of the Chevy, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information, pictures, or any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of the 3100. The body is straight, but with that being said it does have some rust to give it the look of an old barn find. It has lettering for detail to make it look like an older service truck. When this truck was done they replaced the bed floor with all new wood and stainless strips. It also appears to have had new seals installed around the glass. The chrome grill shows age as does the bumpers. The wheels on this pick up is a set of Gray Finish Coys with 18's up front and 20's in the rear with new tires.
Next, we will take a look at the interior of the Pick Up. On the inside it has all been redone. The seat has been recovered in the correct style vinyl. Also new carpet and a headliner board was installed. When you look at the dash they replaced the steering column with a brushed aluminum tilt and added a Banjo Wheel. The factory style gauges were left and they added a set of Pro comp under dash gauges and a tach. A short console was installed and it houses the Lokar Shifter.
Finally, we will take a look at heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the hood the firewall and inner fenders look like the body. But the power comes from a late model fuel injected 4.8/5.3 Engine that's mated to a 350 Turbo Trans and a 10 Bolt Rear End. The frame under this Truck is from an S10 with Four Wheel Disc Brakes that are Power along with Power Steering. The fuel system has been replaced with an Aluminum tank with new lines and pump.
