Private sale of a superincrediblecar. This is a VERY-low mileage 1959 Buick LeSabre Hardtop 4 door "FLAT-TOP".
History:
Remarkable history that reads like a story. This is truly like a Disney movie come to life. The star actress in this movie would be a wonderful young gal, truly in love. She drove off to elope in the 1st and only car she had ever driven... A 1959 Buick LeSabre Flat-top.
Fast-Forward 40 years. She and her husband are still around, and still very much in love. After some anniversary reminiscing, she mentions how she would love to have another car like the one that they got married in.
Quietly, and without mention, the husband sets out to find another Flat-top Buick. Plan is to surprise his wife. Well, the surprise takes another turn when, with the help of some relatives, they find her parents actual old Buick. It wasn't more than 50 miles from their home, and stored in a barn the whole time!
The wife was overjoyed. The proud husband tinkered with the car for 4 years to get everything just right. He also spent $10,100 exactly. His memory has a lot of gaps in it but, he was able to remember that exact figure.
They enjoyed taking their pride-&-joy Flat-top Buick to carshows and show-'n-shines. It was a source of much fun for them.
Sadly, when I bought the car, the husband was in deteriorating condition and spoke with an aid. She was in pretty good shape but, quite advanced in age as well. Both recalled certain events clear as a bell but, had difficulty staying on topic to talk about others. As much as I loved hearing everything and visiting, I saw that their energy was very low and I began to feel selfish by staying. One thing was clear and that was their adoration for each other. The car hadn't been driven much in a number of years but, it was always kept indoors (and covered), and started routinely. My father was 83 when he went along with me on the trip to buy this car. It's a memory I'll always cherish.
Reason for sale:
This car is one of a matching pair of white Buicks I have. I love seeing them together, and looking at them when I bring them outside. Problem is, I really just don't need this many cars right now. The decision for which one to part with came down to which one I've had longer. I've sold off nearly all our collector cars, and am down to the last few. My son's going to be very upset when he realizes it's gone but we've put his favorite antique truck aside for him already. He's 5 and loves this car to bits. Out of all the cars we have (and have ever had), this one captures his imagination most. He calls it"The Spaceship car".
Condition:
Wow.... What words to choose(?). This car is gorgeous. It's also in fabulous condition. The light restoration covered nearly everything small that a 20-some thousand mile car could have ever needed. Brakes are new, most seals and gaskets, most lines and hoses, and nearly anything an old car could use. It runs SO NICE !!!!! It drives absolutely marvelous !!!!!! This car was kept indoors always. It's a gem. Can't stress enough what an amazing car I think this is. (and I normally downplay stuff)
Shipping/delivery
I'd say that, in our experience, most (maybe 75%) American destinations fall between the 15-hundred to 2-thousand dollar range. To play safe, please budget for at least that amount. We are running an unreserved auction so,the savings should help offset any shipping/delivery costs. Please note: My wife has become pretty adept at making all the arrangements and she'll be happy to help out by taking care of things for you after the sale to make sure you get your car quickly as can be.

Procedure is very important and we have a perfect little system that has proven very simple and effective in making everyone happy. It goes as follows: Immediately following the sale, I will ask for your buyer's information. My wife willfill in all the paperwork and title transfer. That will be scanned, and sent to you. Once received, you validate the information as correct and confirm. Then, my wife sends the banking transfer information. After payment is received, shearranges transportation/delivery. Simple as that.
Check our feedback. Each and every one is for a 30-60 year old car or truck. You'll see that nobody is just "happy". Everyone is OVERJOYED. Check it out! Be the next!!!
And,there you have it gang. I think Icovered it all. Soon as I press a button on my screen below, the auction for The "Spaceship car"officially launches in......
